Opportunity Program

The Opportunity Program is presented in cooperation with HRSDC, offering persons on income-assistance the chance to improve their computer-based skills.  Specific work is in the areas of

• File Management,
• Internet Usage
• Word Processing
• & Spreadsheets

As a result of the Opportunity Program, students will:

• demonstrate an understanding of the terminology associated with information and communication technology
• demonstrate an understanding of the computer workstation environment
• manage electronic files and folders
• analyze options for accessing the Internet
• develop Life Skills applicable for future employment
• gain a clear understanding of Transferrable Skills
