Assisted Memberships

The Saint John YMCA-YWCA Open Door Policy:
We will not turn anyone away due to their race, religion, creed or inability to pay the published fees.

Through the generous support of many foundations, individual donors, The United Way and members we are able to help over 800 individuals per year with financial support to purchase a membership or services at the Y.

• Those inquiring about Assisted Memberships must visit us and have a tour of our facility so we can explain our pricing and how our Assisted Membership program works.
• After you have a taken a tour of our facility you can pick up an Assisted Membership Application Package.
• All documents must be completed and proper verification brought in. This information is then given to the Manager of Membership who will then review the submitted information. You will then be contacted regarding your membership fee.
• If necessary, an appointment can be booked with the Manager of Membership.
• All information is confidential.
• Failure to bring in your application with proper documentation may result in longer then necessary wait times to begin your membership as an amount for your membership cannot be determined until all documentation is received.
• Approval for a membership is based on need not on the individual’s willingness to pay the published fee.
