Philanthropy
Philanthropy is at the heart of the Saint John Y. Staff, volunteers, members, youth, corporate, and community members give generously of their time, resources and talent to help children, youth and families in the Greater Saint John region. Every program at our Y is touched in some measure by an act of philanthropy.
The essential strength of the YMCA Movement remains its commitment to foster love of all humankind through programs with core values such as respect, honesty, volunteerism and a sense of self-responsibility.
The YMCA has been a part of our Community for 156 years and throughout our history the Y has always opened its doors to those who are not unwilling but unable to pay the full fee for services. This integral aspect of the YMCA Mission, open to all regardless of economic circumstance, is truly made possible through the thoughtful donations of the caring citizens of the Greater Saint John region.
