C.O.R.E. Program

The CORE Program is an innovative competency based program that supports youth between the ages of 15 -30 to discover their strengths, explore vocational interests and expand work experience.  This 20 week program integrates fundamental skills critical for long term success in the work place.  Service delivery takes place in a classroom setting with guest speakers, visits to community agencies as well as various work sites.  The job exposure component includes a work site mentor to offer encouragement and practical solutions to direct concerns.

In partnership with the Saint John YMCA–YWCA on this program is Service Canada, and the NB Department of Social Development.  Collectively, support for participants in the CORE Program is provided with the opportunity to Connect with self, Overcome obstacles, Reinforce their strengths and Enrich their employment skills.
