Strong Kids Campership Fund - due to the generous donation from individuals, businesses and families in our community we are able to send EVERYONE to camp regardless of their economic circumstances. If you feel you cannot afford the full published fee then complete a Campership application form and we will contact you for an interview. For Day Camp sponsorships, please call 646-2102 to make an appointment. To make a donation, click on the Strong Kids shield.

CAMP GLENBURN-Summer Programs Camp Glenburn offers all of its participants the chance to grow as individuals, enjoy group successes, and reconnect with the outdoors. Our reputation as a safe, fun, skill based camp has taken over 80 years to build; it is a tradition we proudly continue each summer. Our programs are designed to promote a life of learning and instill self confidence. We are a non-denominational camp open to all participants regardless of race, creed or economic circumstance. Our Philosophy The overnight camp experience plays an important role in helping youth develop socially and personally. Whether it’s learning how to stern a canoe, making new friends, sleeping under a star lit sky, or starring in a play, no matter what the activity our campers leave camp feeling empowered.

GLENN CARPENTER CENTRE - Community Rentals Looking for somewhere out of the ordinary for your next business meeting or staff retreat? Just ten minutes from Uptown Saint John to tranquility! The Glenn Carpenter Centre on Foster Thurston Drive offers the Ashburn Lake Lodge for business functions including meetings, seminars, staff retreats and social occasions. Open from May 1st to October 31st, private and rustic, it is comprised of 220 acres of private woodland encompassing the beautiful Ashburn Lake. The Lodge is a unique heritage building on the water’s edge, able to accommodate groups for meetings or other gatherings. Facility rentals subsidize the summer day camp program for area children and youth. The Picnic shelter is a great place to hold outdoor training, staff picnics or family reunions. Trails, swimming, and canoeing available. The Y's Men's Club offers catering services - everything from lobster to hot dogs. SUMMER DAY CAMPS
Our camps are tailored for the inexperienced to the experienced camper with programs as unique as the campers themselves. Camp staff are dedicated to a quality camp program that fosters an environment of learning and development for all youth. Underlying is all of the fun, adventure and excitement, strong tradition of sharing, cooperation and fellowship. Day Camps 2010 at the 'Y' will offer the children an opportunity to swim, special theme days and to participate in tradition day camping songs and games. Day camps continue to be offered at all our great locations: Uptown at the Prince Charles school with access to the Saint John High School pool; Forest Glenn Community Centre for our Integrated Day Camp; Glenn Carpenter Centre for some great new experiences with overnight camping, archery and water activities and for the Valley residents, Quispamsis Recreation Centre has some great specialty camps this summer, the Millidgeville Community Centre for some really great specialty camps as well as at our West Side Location. There are 53 different camps to choose from. Your child will be guided on a daily journey involving exciting and educational outdoor adventures and discoveries with the help of qualified leaders and other new found friends. Day camping has a rich history and is fun-filled with every consideration to meet your child's needs. The youth explore crafts, games, and special themes all in an outdoor setting.
