The new building will have state-of-the-art facilities for swimming, gymnastic activities, reading and leisure activities. This new building will even boast bowling lanes, a massage facility and a craft shop. |
| Dated Saturday, November 1, 1952 the Evening Times Globe reports the launch of a Capital Campaign to build the Hazen Avenue structure. When completed, the Hazen Avenue Y will contain 62 residence rooms, two lounges, two game rooms, nine club rooms, a chapel, two craft shops, an all-purpose room, kitchen and 'tuck shop'. The rear of the building will house the gym, pool, showers, locker room, the 'health club room' and handball courts. |
